ANGLO URDU GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL was established in the year 1937 to initiate the process of bringing education to the doorsteps of the common man.

It was initiated by the concerned efforts of benefactors, benevolent leaders and eminent educationists such as late Haji Gulam Mohammed Azam a business man from Surat, Late Khan Abdul Kadir leading lawyer of Pune city of his times and late Khan BahadurHidayatatullah.

ANGLO URDU GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL at present enjoys the reputation of being one of the oldest High Schools in Pune. The school has a glorious history of over 50 years. Today the school has reached the heights of fame and reputation. This attracted hundreds of girls from Muslim Community securing 1st & 2nd position has become tradition of ANGLO URDU GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL. More than one decade the girls are bagging merit position in SSC Pune Division Board.

Miss. Gudakuwala Sadaf Azim & Miss. Shireen Salim Shaikh of Std. IX stood 1st. in the inter school computer competition organized by Jnyana prbhodhini, Nigdi Kendra in September 2006. Each one of them got cash prize of Rs. 200/- & two certificates- Individual & Group.

A Computer Competition was organized by "Dnyana Prabodhani Navnagar Vidyalaya (Computer Department) at Sindhunagar, Pradhikaran, Nigdi, Pune. From 18th Sept. to 22nd Sept. 2006.
